Getting to the Bottom of Your Health Care Costs

Did you know there is a high cost to complying with government regulations?

Private health insurers spend more than $339.2 billion annually to comply with government health care regulations, according to Christopher Conover in his publication Health Care Regulation: A $169 Billion Hidden Tax.

While some of this money pays for benefits that we're required to cover like certain screenings and certain prescription drugs, author Conover shares that more than 50%of the money, or $169 billion, is spent on regulatory costs such as filing and reporting requirements.
